Greatest Memories & Feats
1
LEAGUE WEBSITE INTRODUCED IN 2000; REVAMPED 2007-14
The website {built from scratch by the commissioner} singlehandedly advanced the league out of the dark ages of the fax machine. It gave all owners instant access to current stats and league history online whenever they wanted. The leap forward eliminated the mystery to what was happening every Sunday and made it a viable source for any nonleague fans as well.
2
STEVEN JACKSON'S TOUCHDOWN ON FINAL RAMS DRIVE
Monday night of Week 14, 2006 finalized the fate of four teams that had playoff berths on the line {River Rats, Nightshade, Slicks, Lightning}. That moment marked the most exciting & dramatic event the league has ever had. Shouts of victory and crushed hopes rang loud as the whole league watched on in anticipation of what was to be.
3
OFFENSIVE SCHEMES EXPANDED & RATIFIED
Talk about revolutionizing! The addition and improvement of 46 new lineup schemes in 2004-14 kicked open the doors to all owners who love managing outside the box. This placed importance not only on draftday prowess, but how well an owner could manage their player talent. This enactment makes the league a true unique gem within the whole world!
4
SHWIINGS CONSTANT ASSAULT ON RECORD BOOKS 2007-12
Since Tom Gallagher's rookie year {in which he won the award}, this franchise has attacked the traditional Hall Of Fame records and pressed the envelope for Best Teams and MOY every season he has managed. High recognition in Most & Aggregate Points, Best Record Rankings, & Playoff Score are to name but a few time-tried honors that have been reevaluated due to T-GAL's efforts. As # 2 Best Franchise ALL-Time, he has been the only owner to beat every other owner at least once during one full season.
5
NIGHTSHADE'S INCREDIBLE WINSTREAK OF 18
Starting in mid-2003, Alan Hight engineered 18 straight victories {including postseason}, right up until late 2004! This was so unprecedented and rare, that only the NFL's New England Patriots could relate in comparison at that particular time. This impromptu record should last forever!
6
JO-T.B.'S BEST TEAM EVER IN 2000
Joe Mancuso's 14 victories and point records was a major show of dominance. Some of these statistics still stand to this day and may never be broken again.
This team was the benchmark of great success.
7
NIGHTSHADE'S PLAYOFF CARNAGE
The postseason has always carried a sense of excitement as the best of the season's teams clash for a chance for glory. What Alan brought in 2014 was total annihilation of opponents to such a degree that it was felt throughout the history of our annals. No team has ever brought such wanton destruction to the table enroute to the Best Title Defense & All-Time Playoff Record for Game & Total Points.
8
FORNINO'S JETS DOMINANCE IN LATE 1990'S
Back-to-back championships and a solid threat for a third made this franchise a juggarnaut to be reckoned with in the early years. Different philosophies {mostly Jet players, Marshall Faulk as figurehead} shaped the team as they posted solid seasons despite any controversy from ownership on how to draft. Fred Hight retired in 2001 thus ending this franchise run.
9
EXECUTIONERS DENIED FANTASYBOWL TITLE ON MONDAY NIGHT SECOND HALF FALLOUT
It was a lock. Luke LaPorte had the 2007 championship sewn up practically by halftime. Even a semi-pedestrian showing the rest of the way would have given him the victory. But, a combination of three deflected Scheffler receiving attempts and a benching of San Diego's star offensive players made this the worst case of centerstage heartbreak this league has ever witnessed.
10
ALL MANNING, ALL THE TIME
Peyton Manning has got to be one of the Greatest QB's in NFL history. In 2013, he singlehandedly destroyed the Individual QB Record with a score of 60 in opening week, made the Newport Jazz the Best QB corp owner in league history, whilst taking down Tom Brady's NFL single season TDs & Drew Brees yardage records! All that after a severe neck injury the previous year! The bar is now set too high for any other future QB contenders.
